Name: Captain Bret Re: Use the Power of Computers to Provide the Best Biblical Education to Your Children
TheDigitalTutor is a unique and powerful computerized curriculum for providing education with a strong Biblical worldview for grades K-12. It is also designed to be used as a family worship curriculum and a church small groups curriculum. TheDigitalTutor software engine provides an open-architecture course capability, which means that any teacher can create lessons using the built-in Lesson Builder and have those lessons integrated into the core curriculum. This is how TheDigitalTutor already has lessons designed by dozens of the Great Teachers of the World, with new lessons being added each month.
Using TheDigitalTutor is like having the Great Teachers of the World serve as personal tutors for your child. Our pre-literacy program offers videos for students who are not ready to read. Once your student is mentally mature enough -- and NOT BEFORE -- our Learning to Read with Jacqueline Smith program teaches him to read simple Bible stories. From there he moves on to Beginner level lessons in Social Studies, Science, and Math; however, parents can turn off the math lessons if the student is not mentally ready for formal math instruction, and resume them when the student is a little more mature. If you sign up for our Pinnacle program, you will also be assigned a personal education consultant who will help you set up the software, provide daily student management, help you set educational goals, and provide you with weekly reports on your student's progress.

These are just a few of the dozens of great teachers whose lessons are in the core curriculum of TheDigitalTutor.
We have 12 children, 8 of whom were adopted. We literally have children from around the world in our home, and several of them have some pretty severe special needs. But over the past 4 years, as we have been developing TheDigitalTutor computerized curriculum, we have seen these children blossom. Let me introduce you to a couple of them.
Hi, my name is Wally. I'm from Latvia, and I'm 14 years old. I'm the audio/video producer and curriculum project manager here at Homeschool Advantage Productions. If you have watched a video, listened to an audio file, or studied a computerized lesson, then I probably created it. But I don't just help create the curriculum; I use it for my own homeschool education. It is so full of the Bible and the message of the gospel, that it caused me to accept Christ as my Savior about 2 years ago. I am so excited that God has allowed me to become a part of this ministry!
Hello, my name is Madara. I'm from Latvia, and I'm 17 years old. One of the things I do to help our family grow is to help my younger brothers and sisters with their schooling. Since the Autotutor feature of TheDigitalTutor automatically manages their lesson plans, all I have to do is check the records every day to make sure they are doing their computer assigned work, and be available to answer the occasional question they may have about a particular lesson. I have also been using this program for my own schooling, and have learned so much about the Bible and what it has to say about everyday life. I became a Christian a little over 2 years ago, and now I am working to help our family disciple other families through our educational consulting ministry.
Each course in TheDigitalTutor is setup for Diagnostic Testing by default. This means that when a student begins a new course, the first thing he will do is take a series of tests on the material in that course. If he can pass the Pretests, then that course will be marked as completed and he will move directly to the next course. In the event that he does not know all of the material in the course, even the individual lessons in the course offer diagnostic testing, so he can skip individual lessons that he does not need.
The structure of a lesson also enables the quick learner to move rapidly through the lesson. Once the student has correctly answered all the questions for a lesson, the program moves into a review mode which the student can choose to bypass and move directly to the final exam, if he is comfortable with the material.
TheDigitalTutor will go over the material repeatedly with a student until he gets it right, automatically providing the appropriate level of repetition for students who need it. Rather than trying to juggle a variety of topics simultaneously and never really mastering any of them, TheDigitalTutor focuses the student's attention on one lesson at a time. Like a private tutor, it keeps working with a student on a lesson until it is complete, before moving to another topic.
TheDigitalTutor provides instant feedback to students. After completing a section, the student clicks the "Check Answers" button. Any answers that are incorrect are highlighted in red, and must be corrected before the student can move to the next section. Once the student has gone through all the sections, TheDigitalTutor conducts a review of the lesson, allowing the student to study the material until he indicates that he is ready to take the Final Exam. If the student fails to pass the exam, the program will reinsert the lesson in his lesson plan; no student ever fails a subject, but rather continues to work on it until he has mastered it.
For those parents or teachers who like a more hands-on approach to lesson planning, TheDigtialTutor enables you to customize every aspect of a student’s lesson plan, from building your own course group rotation, to selecting courses for the course groups, to designing and building your own courses, and a whole host of lesson parameters that control how TheDigitalTutor administers the individual lessons.
